Safety Supervisor 48007
Performing safety audits and inspections;
Assisting with inspections of unsafe situations, ergonomic incidents, injuries, etc.;
Promoting and ensuring health and wellness through health fairs, education, and training;
Coordinating meetings including safety, ergonomics, first responder, haz-mat teams, etc.;
Educating and communicating safety to employees using group meetings, conferences, orientations, newsletter, etc.;
Coordinating with other groups, supervisors, etc., on capital improvement projects;
Compiling data and generating reports;
Food Safety and Food Quality of products;
Reporting to the Safety Manager.
Education: 2-year degree preferred, but not required.
Required Skills:
2
years of experience in general safety, Human Resources, Business, etc.;
Knowledge and understanding of OSHA and its VPP Elements;
Certified in First Aid, CPR, AED or First Responder preferred;
Experience in a risk management environment preferred;
Strong interpersonal, communication, training and presentation skills;
Ability to attend off-site training and travel between sites;
Proficiency in MS Office Suite;
Willing to work flexible hours and shifts;
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
